  15. <p>     DIED. Tom Harmon, 70, football legend and sports
  16. broadcaster; of a heart attack; in Los Angeles. A triple-threat
  17. back for the Michigan Wolverines, Harmon won the Heisman Trophy
  18. in 1940, then signed on with the New York Americans. After five
  19. years with the Army Air Forces and a two-year career with the
  20. Los Angeles Rams, Harmon turned to sportscasting full time. His
  21. son Mark Harmon starred in the TV show St. Elsewhere.
